Closely Held Secrets Exhibition

We had to design a poster for a competion in Nottingham Trent University,

The Task was for the Exhibition
Closely Held Secrets
and will be running from the 25th of October to the 19th of November

The task is being led by Nottingham Trent University’s School
of Art & Design and our Bonington gallery, and will present the outcomes of the partnership between Tony Taylor and eight visual artists; Craig Fisher, Charlotte Hodes, Geoff Diego Litherland, Danica Maier
Grayson Perry, Derek Sprawson, Katherine Townsend and
Stella Whalley.

The premise of the exhibition is that each artist collaborates with Tony on new digital embroidery works to be shown alongside existing works by the artists. The exhibition aims to demonstrate how the understanding between technician and artist can lead to new ways of working and outcomes that push the boundaries of digital embroidery. The exhibition aims to transcend digital embroidery as a craft, exploring its application in the context of fine art, where the possibilities for the medium are more expansive.

Out of all the artists one stood out for me the most
Craig Fisher
I really loved his street, Urban, 3d Sculptures with their Ironic Twist
I wanted to use his graffiti style

Im also INLOVE with the
This is England 86'
series and wanted the styling to be reminiscent of that grunge 80s look

and Volia!
my poster.
